Butterflies began to take flight
The inaugural lift off, flitting all about them
They seemed confused by the light at first
as they reckoned with the renovations to their bodies
but soon lifted above the jars and began to circle
Rising higher and higher like birthday balloons
And beyond the canopy, grasses and wetlands of the free world
