The Cowboy and His Lady
The cowboy on his appaloosa rode
to see his lady fair
with eyes of blue and cheeks of rose
and shining golden hair
He doffed his hat and swept it low
and said with certain pride
"I'd be an honoured cowboy Ma'am
if you'd be my precious bride".
The lady smiled that sweet, sweet, smile
and looked him in the eyes
then said to calm his trembling heart
"We'll marry at sunrise".
So now together in the dawn
they ride toward the sun
the cowboy and his lady fair
have joined their hearts as one.
